Why Should I Buy Your Kitchen and Bath Cabinets?
Essentially, “we” come with our cabinets. We’re your designer, problem solver, quality control inspector and your advocate all the way through the design/build/remodel process. Simply put, we offer a concierge experience to your kitchen or bath design/build/remodel experience, tailoring our process to your needs and taking care of the details from start to finish. Amazing cabinetry can be rendered mediocre, or even disastrous, without dedicated, focused assistance. Why gamble with your future? Let Kitchen Ideas Center exceed your expectations.
The vast majority of our cabinet products are customizable in terms of size, shape, configuration, style, wood species, and finish. As an example, you have options that allow you to select any standard paint color from Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore as your finish, giving you an opportunity to express yourself in a very specific way. And, you and your Kitchen Ideas Center designer can work to ensure that you can realize the greatest value for your particular requirements.
More Variety of Style
We offer an unlimited array of styles, from old-world traditional to razor-sharp contemporary, and everything in between. There really is no limit to the options available to you including many specialty offerings from the standard to the spectacularly exotic.

President Kitchen Ideas Center
The Right Choice By Design
The Kitchen Ideas Center team is composed of active members of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). We are constantly fueled to be leaders in our industry. Our staff designers — Rick Hoekstra, Chuck Weidenbach and Michele Breunig — have dozens of years of combined design experience receiving awards of excellence for their work.
Rick Hoekstra — Owner, Sales, Design, and Project Management
Rick is the president and owner of Kitchen Ideas Center, as well as Lost Finish, Inc. since 1979. Having been involved with several notable projects including the renovation of the Wisconsin state capitol, and the preservation of the Frank Lloyd Wright Pew House, Rick has also helped thousands of residential clients in and around the Dane County area to achieve beautiful new kitchens, baths, closets (and more) in their homes. Rick’s approach to each project is unique to each homeowner, and each homeowner’s vision for their home. How can Rick help you to design the project of your dreams?
Michele Breunig – Sales, Design, and Project Management
Michele has been with Kitchen Ideas Center since the Spring of 2018. She has lived in the Madison area her entire life and has been in different aspects of the design field for over 25 years, with extensive wood and countertop knowledge. Michele has worked on projects ranging from small remodels to new legacy homes.
The kitchen is the heart of our homes. Michele can help you make it an area that is not only beautiful, but that functions well for everyone’s needs. She firmly believes that her job is not done unless you love the end product. Let Michele help you design the kitchen, bathroom or closet of your dreams!
Branden Zimmerman – Draftsperson
Branden has been working in the field since 1994. He is an AutoCAD certified professional and is adept at using SketchUp. He has degrees in Architectural Residential Design, Media Arts, and to top it off, is also a paralegal.
Kat Otis – Design Assistant
Kat has many years in the home building/remodeling industry. She has always felt it to be an honor to be involved in a home project, as our homes are the most intimate places. Seeing the BEFORE and AFTER of the projects never gets old. When not working, Kat loves to spend time in the garden, cook a scrumptious meal, read a good book, and have plenty of snuggle time with puppy Jax.
